Here’s a fun and easy idea from Pinterest. Winter snow scenes . This first one I made using a glass cloche. I already had the little trees and the snow. I used cotton for the base as it covers up the battery for the street light, and then sprinkled fake snow on top. The little street light I bought at Walmart from their Christmas village décor. It was so fun to do and the possibilities are endless as to the different scenes you could make.
AND…while at Walmart I found this container that looks like glass but it’s actually plastic for $7.97! Yay! AND… you can leave these “winter” scenes out after Christmas.
Now go forth and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

These are adorable and I have a glass cloche that I can do this with! Thx and Merry Christmas.

How adorable Mindy, love the look of the snowy trees. That street lamp is so sweet too, thanks,Francine.
ReplyDeleteI have so wanted to do this but can't find any affordable cloches and haven't seen any plastic ones so well done you! They look awesome!
ReplyDeleteMany blessings for a wonderful holiday!
When I was a little girl we lived on a hill. When it snowed at night, we would look down at the street light on the corner and see the snow falling. We'd go to bed praying for "no school" the next day. Your sweet little lamp reminded me of that street light from long ago. Wonderful creations...how clever!

ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea. I like winter scenes and this reminds me so much of the snow globes. During the holiday season, it is a good time to find the little items you might want to use in one.
