I was at Michael’s the other day and came across these little burlap flowers. They were a dollar each and I knew just what I wanted to do with them. As you can see in the first picture the centers were too bright a yellow so….
I put some antiquing gel on them to tone them down.
They already had this clip on the back of them so I just left it.
I went out into the yard and found me some sticks and clipped the flowers onto them and there you have it.
Every once in awhile I do some kind of project that requires sticks or branches. I often wonder what my neighbors think when they see me out there hunting up these necessities! But hey, they are free so what can I say!
Enjoy your day!
Mindy
Where do you get antiguing gel, that would work good on my cross stitch and other things. Enjoy read your blog. Sally
ReplyDeleteHi Sally! I have had by bottle for quite some time but I think I got it at Hobby Lobby. I found it with the other craft paints in the little 2 oz. bottles. My bottle says Delta Ceramcoat Brown Antiquing Gel.

That's a great idea to use the clip to attach the sticks. I'm making some sunflowers that I want to put on sticks and I had planned to glue them on, but now maybe I'll do it differently! These are so cute!
