Had to share… Last night after I took a bath I came into the living room and this is what I found.
Jasper jumped into my bucket of flowers. Luckily he stayed there while I grabbed my camera. He’s always making me laugh.
This is the home of Mark and Eva Zimmerman, Country Crow Primitives. I must tell you, their home is absolutely prim at its best! When I step into their home I feel as though I am walking into my heart.
They just had an open house and I was fortunate to attend. In fact, I went both days. The first day with a friend and the second day I just had to go back so I could bring my husband and my mother, for there were no words to describe how wonderful it was, they had to see it for themselves!
This is their little cabin out back that was filled with lots of goodies!
Among other things, I picked up this cute little mouse…love him!
The first time I was there I purchased this old lantern and have been enjoying it ever since!
Now the exciting news is that their home will be featured in this coming fall issue of Mercantile Gatherings magazine, so trust me, you will definitely want to see this! In the meantime you can check out their website, Country Crow Primitives.
Enjoy your day!
I’ve been going through some of my books and magazines I have and I do have quite a collection but I really enjoy every single one of them. I have lots of the old Country Living magazines, which as far as I’m concerned, can’t be beat. I also have quite a few books that I have acquired at different sales here and there. I don’t just stash them away and forget about them, I continually get them out now and again and look through them over and over each time seeing or learning something new. Just like today I discovered I have two Mary Emmerling books and I love them both. One is called “Smart Decorating” and the other “New Country Collecting.”
Smart Decorating is a wonderful book full of pictures and ideas. It was written with the help of James Cramer and Dean Johnson. I bet I’ve looked through it 100 times and I’m still not tired of it! New Country Collecting is also full of inspiring ideas for collecting and decorating. I didn’t realize Mary has quite a collection of books that she has done. There are several American Country books by her, American Country Gardens, American Country Christmas, American Country Cottages, just to name a few. I’m always so excited when I come across old books like these at a sale. So glad I snatched them up when I did! Here are some pictures from “Smart Decorating.” Jasper insisted on sneaking in the pictures!
A couple of pictures from “New Country Collecting”
If you ever come across them, grab them up!
Well here are the latest pictures of Jasper.
He loves to read the daily news!
He’s always investigating the unknown.
Here he was saying, “Oh, I didn’t know you were there!”
He likes to climb up the little broom.
He often tries to act like he’s shy…
Ready to pounce!
Contemplating his next move!
Thanks for stopping by and spending time with Jasper!
Went to Sweet Annie’s Spring Open House. Purchased me this sweet little doll made by Paula Conner from Red Door Primitives. Isn’t she a cutie?!
Got to see the wonderful home of Earlene and Norm Landis from http://earlene-primitivepassion.blogspot.com/ in the summer 2013 issue of A Primitive Place Magazine. Be sure to check out Earlene’s Blog if you haven’t already!
Got the new James Cramer book, lots of beautiful pictures and ideas!
Stopped at Aunt Patty’s Attic and got some pretty little flowers for my watering can.
I’ll have to post some new pictures of Jasper. He’s still cute and sweet! Have a great day!
