A Couple of Finds

lpcp 017

Last weekend my husband let me run in to a little antique store while he waited in the car so I zoomed through it real quick and found this little quilted piece.  It reminded me of my grandma who said every room needed a pop of red.  I was told it was made by a elderly retired preschool teacher’s mother.  I always like it when you know a little history about an item.

I also found this little grater.  Those were the two things that caught my eye that day.  Of course I did see a few other things but the price tags told me no. :-(

We are finally starting to get some nicer weather. You just feel so much better when you can see and feel that sun!  Have a great Monday!

  4. A simple design in the little quilt but the red and white combo does pop and makes a good purchase.

  5. I agree with the pop of red! I just love it and I especially love knowing as much as possible about the pieces.
Don't people want crazy prices for their stuff these days?
That's why I love garage sales and auctions!

  18. Lovely little quilt!!!! It sure does pop, but not too much:) The grater is perfect. I love it in the bowl.
My hubbly lets me quickly run through shops too, and he stays in the car with the three girls. Last time we brough them in, baby had a cristus inlayed with gems and was running through the store with it. She threw it and it broke in 4 pieces. It wasn't expensive, but it could have easily been a small crock or an antique whatever. Have a great week. -Steph-
