I know, some days you are probably wondering if I’m ever going to stop mentioning Maggie, well…..probably not. What can I say, I enjoy Maggie’s books and patterns. I also love how she is able to pick just the right primitive colors for her projects.
Anyway, a very generous lady, Willie Shafer opened her home and allowed Maggie fans to come and meet Maggie and have her sign her latest book for us. I was fortunate to meet Maggie once before after her first book came out, so now I have two books signed by her. Not bragging or anything.
Maggie had several of her projects there from her new book, “A Day at Sunny Brook.” Blackberry Primitives were there also with tons of yummy wool and some kits of Maggie’s designs.
I was able to take some pictures to share…
Here is “Flowering Vine Pillow.” The background pieces are actually browns but they look green here. This is one I for sure want to make.
Here is the pincushion and scissor keeper, journal, the lavender sachet and mending baskets.
the sampler and starry night bed cover with moon pillow and star pincushion…
the Tulip and Peony hooked rug and of course the Bee Garden fireplace screen..
Linen and Wool tea cloth…
Cozy Scalloped Throw…
Flowers on the Courthouse Steps pillow…
Rosy Posy pillow…
We got to meet the sisters in person… Aren’t they a hoot?!
and of course Maggie herself…
If you look on the table above you can see the little pinch purses she made.
I also found out that Maggie’s home will be in this fall issue of Simple Life Magazine! Can’t wait to see it! I just love what pictures there are of her home in her books!

Thanks for the post about Maggie. And no you are not boring us with the mention of her. she is a great designer, just right for these times. Most of us cannot get to Spring Green so we have to settle for books and pictures to share of her home and needlework. I did one of her kits and it was wonderful, I was so proud. So you see there are many of us out here just waiting for more of Maggie. thanks again and hope you have a wonderful summer. Blessings to you and yours, Marge
