Creating A Space…

No I haven’t been pinning all this time, well I have some, just a little! I’ve been working on a room to do my crafts in.

I need to paint the trim. It’s been purple for the Minnesota Vikings.

I put a few past projects on the bulletin board.

I also got some wool from Blackberry Primitives!

I purchased this Maggie pattern. I didn’t get the kit so I don’t have the colors it shows but maybe I will do it different. I need to finish the one I’m working on first! You know how it is though, you have to have something waiting in the wings!!

Exhausted!

I think I have the pinterest thing figured out. Not all of it but enough to make boards and pin pictures!  I’m getting too old to try to figure out these high tech things. Makes my brain hurt!! :-)

Thank you to everyone that sent me help! I clicked on an invitation I received and up popped a message, “Oops, this page doesn’t exist!” Just my luck, but I kept pressing on and finally made it! I put a button on my right side bar that says, “follow me on pinterest” You will have to click on it and tell me if you see my boards.

Having a Hissy Fit

Ok, I am so not understanding  how to use this pinterest site.  I have seen links that say, “Click here and follow me on pinterest. So I click there and it takes me to their spot on pinterest but there is no follow button to be found. I have clicked on every picture, sign, symbol, name, looked it up on the help button and still NO SIGN that allows me to FOLLOW someone. Someone told me to click on their name and it will say follow. Well my computer must be different because NO FOLLOW SIGN pops up. WHY? Why can’t I make it work? I want to be able to follow somebody and possibly start my own board but it won’t let me!  All I want to do is follow and pin, is that so unreasonable?!  Ok, I think I am done throwing my hissy fit but I’m still going to go off in a corner somewhere and pout!

New Toy

Well it’s certainly not primitive but I sure am enjoying my Kindle Fire. It’s pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  I’ve been reading lots of books, played a few games, one of which is solitaire. I never knew how to play it until this week when my son taught me. Nobody at work could believe I didn’t know how to play it! I’ve looked at a magazine, websites, Facebook and checked my email. It’s just an amazing piece of work! I did manage to do some stitching today on my Maggie project. It’s been laid out on the table where I left it since I cut it out. I have so many patterns I want to do I better pick up the pace!

New Furniture

We got a new couch and chair! Yeah! I’m usually not one to pick something with a bold pattern but when I saw this pattern on the chair and pillows, it reminded me of a Maggie pattern and the color of wools that I like.  I have an ottoman on order that matches the chair.

The colors match my wool Maggie quilt perfectly! 

Now if you will excuse me, I think I will go make myself a cup of coffee and enjoy! Mindy

New Patterns

Found some new patterns! I have seen the one above from Threads That Bind, before and always thought it would be a fun one to do and I found it the other day at Country Sampler along with the next two.

I want to try and make a few of the following pattern  for Christmas presents next year. That’s my plan any way. For now, these patterns will go in my big book of patterns until I get ready to do them.  Is there anyone else like me that buys all these patterns and you have yet to make them? Oh well, they are there waiting for that special day when you will drag them out and finally proceed!!  Still haven’t got any farther on my Maggie project yet. :-(

New Snowman & New Project

Found me a cute snowman on sale after Christmas. This one spoke to me right away. He’s such a cute little primitive guy and I figured I can set him out now since he’s a snowman.

I’m finally getting around to starting a new Maggie project. Here’s a sneak peek. I just got all the pieces cut out finally, now I need to work on arranging them.

There were so many things I wanted to make around Christmas but there just simply wasn’t any time then so I decided I need to work on those things throughout the year and get them done before next Christmas. This is my goal anyway. We shall see how it goes!
