Loving my new picture!
Rusty, Doug and I went shopping yesterday. Doug needed to get some things before he starts college this fall. I haven’t been just leisurely shopping for quite some time. I thought we would stop at Bed, Bath and Beyond and see if they had anything to perhaps spruce the place up a bit or maybe something pampering for me. Well I didn’t find myself a darn thing but Reese scored! His other little bed was just getting flat and not so comfy. I certainly couldn’t expect him to keep using it, although I don’t think it bothered him in the least! I found this extremely soft, cushiony, luxurious bed that I felt he had to have. He’s 12 years old so he definitely deserves comfort! Anyway, Doug and I were sitting at the table and we heard Reese groaning and I asked Doug if he was getting in his new bed. Doug smiled and said yeah, he’s probably thinking mom got me this new contraption so I best be laying in it and make her happy! Well it does, and I do believe it makes him happy too!
If you want stress just deal with blogger on a daily basis as you all know. Ok, have you had this problem? Your new post doesn’t show up on your dashboard. If you go to the blog directly, you see the new post but your dashboard still shows old post. Once again, I hope this is something that will resolve itself! In the meantime, I feel like doing this…..
P.S. Now my dashboard is showing a post by me that I even deleted. Yep, I’m getting closer and closer to making that second picture there come to life.
Went to a new place that I had never been to before, The Whistle Stop. It was a really cute shop.
You can click on pics to enlarge.
I got myself this sweet simple whiteware vase.
I thought this little yo yo tag was just precious.
Got a new charm for my necklace. front….
And you know how little whisk brooms call my name!
Be sure to check this shop out here!
Now a while back, friends Scott, Joan, Paul and myself went to check out a sale in Council Bluffs at The Olive Branch. They were having a backroom sale. I got this neat glass jar. Somebody said I could take the label off but I didn’t want to, that’s part of what I liked about it. Good for storing crafty things in!
I also found this neat hanging candle holder. I have been wanting one and it was marked way down. Haven’t got candles for it yet and not sure where the right spot for it is but I’ll let you know once I get it worked out!
Have a great weekend!
It has just been too hot to do anything. Today we had the summer reading program at the library. Next week will be the last one. It’s always fun and gives kids something to do.
I’ve been looking at pinterest.com. That’s where all these photos came from. Here are some neat little patios. It’s surprising what you can do in a small space.
I thought these were cute lighting ideas!
It’s even been too hot to sit out on your patio.
I got the new Country Sampler magazine yesterday in the mail. It has a lot of neat primitive homes in this issue!
This picture was from last month’s issue. I just love this room.
I get so inspired when I look at pictures like this but it just seems like for me anyway, it’s hard to replicate in your own home.
Here are some more photos from past issues of Country Sampler that are inspiring to me as well.
Have a great weekend and try to stay cool!
I made a couple more wool notebook covers. These are the little bitty composition notebooks. They may be little but they took me forever to make because I just kept putting them off! I need some kind of super energy pill. I have had absolutely no get up and go lately.
I’ve got some closets and drawers I really need to clean out and go through but every time I go and look at them I think, do I really want to start that? I want HGTV to come and organize and do a makeover for me. I still want primitive though, no modern for me!! If I’m not surrounded by old and awesome then forget the whole thing!
Have a prim filled day!
Thank you everyone for the Birthday wishes! You really made my day very special! The day got even more special when I went to the mailbox and received a surprise package from my friend Linda at Parker’s Paradise! Look what was inside! She said she had been making some things with her ticking. Boy am I’m glad I’m now the owner of this awesome pin keep made by Linda herself! Thanks again Linda! I LOVE it!
Isn’t this the cutest picture? I just love it! My aunt sent it to me as I’m another year younger today! ;-) It made me smile so I thought I would share a smile with everyone that stopped by! You can click on it to enlarge.
Have a great day! I’m just going to hang out around here today!
I was sitting around waiting to see if Doug would still have his baseball game since it was raining, so I decided I would turn on my patio lights and take a couple of pictures.
Now we’re getting a little thunder so game is cancelled.
Have a nice evening.
