Now I wish all my Christmas decorations would just melt away until next year so I wouldn’t have to put them all away! It’s fun putting them out but putting them away……….NOT SO MUCH!
Oh I so agree with you. I so dislike taking down the decorations. Can an artificial tree droop? Was just sitting here looking at mine and I think it is beggine me to unload it. I really think it is showing signs of being tired and weighted down,, but can I just enjoy the beauty one more day? Or am I just putting off the inevitiable? Have a great day Angela
Unless you had to put them out with a five year old, lol!!! It was painful..very very painful. But I agree..putting them away is always a little sad for me. Then the house looks so empty. WHERE did you get those two absolutely amazing snowmen in your pic. I love love love them!!! Katie
Its always kind of a sad event to me...your decorations are so nice....just leave them until your ready then it won't seem like such a chore :) Blessings
i took mine down two days ago.....didnt take me long at all with my hubby's help....then yesterday he took all the outside lights and garlands down...i was so ready for the season to end....i love the way things look after christmas...you will get there....and when you do....post pictures....
I took mine down today! Now to pack up and put everything away, Lol! I did keep my snowmen out though. I Love your header picture. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. You are so right about putting away the Christmas decor. Luckily, I keep my decor pretty simple and minimal, so it's not too bad. Winter Blessings!
I hear ya Girlfriend...but I do also believe Christmas is a season - not a day, and have never, ever, taken down anything Christmas until at least the week after the new year. (Although this year I told my husband he better get used to Christmas for a good long while because with classes starting on the 9th, ain't nothing coming down anytime soon.....) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
It is kind of sad putting everything away for another year, especially when you've really enjoyed the season. My little game is to try to put things away in a more organized way than the year before so I'm reorganizing things and making new labels for the boxes. Sad, I know. Happy New Year! ~Roberta
I put things "up" to Christmas music... that makes it such fun! I started listening to my favorite movie/musical soundtracks when I am putting away... seems to make the medicine go dooown a bit easier :) Wishing you a wonderful New Year!

ReplyDeleteThat's why I have so many snowmen Mindy. I can postpone my tear down by letting the snowmen up till March.

It sure seems like more work putting them away and then I hate it cause it looks so bare.
ReplyDeletePlay some good music...I find that helps a little bit:)
