Feeling down…:-(

Well I haven’t done much lately on my blog or the computer as far as that goes.  My mind has just been in a whirlwind. We are having health issues with our dog. He is a 12 year old doxie. and I have just been all consumed with that. My right hand doesn’t know what my left hand is doing. My mind is just constantly in a whirl. I pulled into the garage today and was going to get out of the car without even shutting it off. It’s like I’m trying to function but my mind is some where else. I do not want to have another pet or at least not for years and years and years. It is just too hard emotionally and physically when they get old and start having problems. It just breaks your heart to see them that way. I sure hope he gets better. Thanks for listening to me!

On a lighter note, hope everyone is enjoying this much cooler weather! I know I sure love it!

Mindy

  1. I'm so sorry about your dog... and can understand completely how consumed you become when they are sick. We recently lost one of our dogs to cancer -- after months of chemotherapy.... We have one little shih-tzu now -- and we are questioning whether we would ever get another pet. It is just too hard to have them leave you....
Thoughts and prayers for you and your dog....

  14. doesn't sound like the little guy is getting better as quickly as Mom would like. Did you get the pain reliever I recommended? I know it doesn't give back their strength or mend anything, but it makes so they aren't in any discomfort. I'm still praying for the little guy!

  19. Mindy, I'm so sorry to hear your little doxie isn't doing well. I don't know the specific issues but I hope he pulls through. Our older kitty was diagnosed with a serious health issue a year ago and is still hanging in there and enjoying her life, so you never know. Wishing you all the best. ~Roberta

  20. I sure hope your sweet doggie feels better soon. I know how hard it is when they don't feel themselves. My little dog is 18 and has so many issues anymore. We just try and do the best and make her as happy and as comfortable as we can. It's hard I know, but keep positive because I believe they can feel our anxiety.

  23. Mindy, I know exactly how you feel. We recently had to make the final decision for our 11-yr old corgi. We have an 18-yr old (yes, 18!) shepherd mix with special needs, so trust me, I do know what you are going through. I'm sending you all kinds of cyber hugs, and I wish I could take the pain away and make you and your little one better.
