I had my husband draw the winning name for my 2nd giveaway.
and the winner is……..
Robin from The Cranky Crow. Congratulations Robin! Thanks everyone! I appreciate each and everyone of you!
Until next giveaway,
The phrase, “as the crow flies” means in a straight line. Generally used when discussing distances. Any distance 'as the crow flies' neglects barriers (man-made or natural, such as traffic, mountains, waterways, etc.) that might hinder your travel, it is the shortest route between two points."
Here’s my little crow I picked up at Sweet Annie’s! Only this little crow had to fly around the flooded roadways in order to get to my place!
Crows on the fence mean rain, while crows on the ground mean fine weather.
Whether there is any truth to that or not I don’t know, I do know when I see a crow, it is another one of those things that calls my name. :-)
WOW! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever have 200 followers! I have had so much fun with my blog and have met so many internet friends! I appreciate each and everyone of you and to celebrate I am having another giveaway! All you have to do to enter is be a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post. I will draw the winner on Wednesday evening. Here is what I will be giving away…
An acorn penny runner and a little cute pumpkin and you never know, by the time I get ready to send it to the winner I may throw in an extra or two! You can click on the image to enlarge.
Thank you to all my followers for your support and comments, you make blogging fun! Good Luck to everyone! Be sure to check back Wednesday, September the 28th for if you do win, I will need an email address or some way to get in touch with you!
Well I finally got some of my fall decorations out. The runner on the table is a Maggie pattern found in her book, The Comfort Zone.
I made this cat penny rug a couple of years ago. I’m thinking it was a kit I bought.
The library table used to sit here but we got a bigger TV so it wouldn’t fit in this entertainment center so we moved it into the dining room and I put our CD player in it and moved the library table into the living room and sat the TV on it.
I bought this picture hanging above the fireplace at a goodwill store for five bucks. I have always wanted this picture so I grabbed it right up when I spotted it.
Well, that’s if for now. I’m probably one of the last ones to put out my fall things but I just have to wait until the mood hits me and then I have to act quick cause you never know how long it will last!!
I want to thank everyone again for your prayers for Reese! He is doing so much better, bless his heart!
Look how huge this Sweet Annie plant is…
I decided I better get some and hang it up to dry…
I’ve got it hanging everywhere.
I can’t bring it in the house because Rusty is allergic to it.
So I’ll just have to use it outside.
Sure glad the week’s over and I’m sure enjoying this much cooler weather!
When we took Doug down to NWMS, they had these little pumpkins on a stick, I thought they were so cute!
I received my package from Patti at Winding Vine Wanderings.
She made these adorable little apple pincushions that I’m so enjoying!
I still haven’t got any fall decorations out yet. I’m thinking about it more so that’s probably a good sign!
Have a great evening!
Thank you everyone for your kind and caring comments for my pupper Reese! He and I both really appreciate it, you guys are the best! He is doing a little better. We’re just taking things day by day. Yes, our sweet pets love us unconditionally as we do them. They are some of the best friends we’ll ever have!
Well I haven’t done much lately on my blog or the computer as far as that goes. My mind has just been in a whirlwind. We are having health issues with our dog. He is a 12 year old doxie. and I have just been all consumed with that. My right hand doesn’t know what my left hand is doing. My mind is just constantly in a whirl. I pulled into the garage today and was going to get out of the car without even shutting it off. It’s like I’m trying to function but my mind is some where else. I do not want to have another pet or at least not for years and years and years. It is just too hard emotionally and physically when they get old and start having problems. It just breaks your heart to see them that way. I sure hope he gets better. Thanks for listening to me!
On a lighter note, hope everyone is enjoying this much cooler weather! I know I sure love it!
