Display Ideas

pics 189802

First of all I would like to thank you for the sweet comments on my nieces, Grace and Lily.  They are quite the cuties!

Now, I have a question for all you wool penny rug makers out there. How do you display your bigger pieces? The runners are easy, you just put them on a table but sometimes It’s hard for me to decide where to put the bigger ones. I would love to hear how you have displayed some of your pieces!  Maybe you could even post pictures on your blog!  Looking forward to hearing from you! Have a nice evening!

  5. Uhhh...really? I've never had one big enough for that to be an issue!! :o) Wish I did!! Love the one you've shown....did you do that??? I struggle with displaying my larger hooked rugs though too - they are so heavy and you don't can't display them like a quilt or anything....my last idea (a Longaberger quilt hanger) didn't work out so hot and now I'm stuck with it....I've resorted to backs of chairs; railings (we have quite a few railings around our living room area, so I lay them over those....) Sorry - not much help! Will be curious to see what you come up with, though!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  6. Love this piece! As long as the table is bigger than the wool piece, I place it on the table ;) some cover most of the table, but I don't mind! I also have a velvet loveseat in front of our fireplace. I lay one of my wool pieces along the back and it sticks to the velvet almost like velcro lol. I also lay some on the windowseat of our bow window in the dining room. I've framed some pretty big pieces and some I make a pocket on top for a dowel rod and hang them that way. I love the way they look on the inside of an open old cupboard door, but unfortunately I don't have any old cupboards... It will be interesting to see what others say! Thanks for the question!
    Blessings, Patti

  7. Love your newest piece--really great fall colors! I'm not much help here. I can't drape anything on a chair or sofa because the cats would think that's their new mat. The biggest things I've made are hooked rugs, so those go on the floor anyway. ~Roberta
