Finished project & Wool Scraps

Update: First of all I wanted to let you know what I thought about the hanging bag of water to help get rid of flies. My mom and I both tried it and we felt it did cut down on the amount of flies. I told you I would let you know what I thought, so there you are. Give it a try if you haven’t all ready!

Now earlier I showed you just a sneak peek of what I was working on. Here is the finished piece. Lo and behold it is a Maggie pattern. You can click on photos to make larger.

Now if you will remember I made this journal to be my gratitude journal and I did write in it every day for awhile, but when you are not suppose to repeat anything, it got harder and harder to write something. Not that I am not grateful because I certainly am   for a lot of things, it’s just that I kept finding myself wanting to repeat things over. Anyway please don’t judge me over this! ;-)  I decided I would make it a journal to keep scraps of my favorite wool colors. This way, when I go to buy more wool I know exactly which colors and shades of colors I like and I can try and match them up as close as possible.

Now the upper and lower right side look like the same piece but actually they are a different hue, so don’t be pointing that out to me  :-)

I know, you are wondering why I like all those dark colors. What can I say, I just think they are warm and cozy to me. Although they do look darker in the picture than they really are.

Right now I am working on another project. I about have it done. I am in one of those “want to keep making things” moods!

  1. Wow! You are on a roll! I love your new idea for your journal. I understand your gratitude journal idea and think as long as you are grateful, that is what truly matters.

I LOVE your "Give Thanks" (and it goes along with being grateful ;) I can't place that Maggie pattern was it in a book? I may need to do this one before Thanksgiving... (BTW the wools in your pineapple are perfect!)

Congrats on lovely finishes! And I love the wools in your journal - my kind of colors.

    Blessings, Patti
