Southern Dairy & Taylors Chicken Farm

Aren’t these neat? Joan gave them to me. I just love them. Now I just have to decide what I want to do with them. Any suggestions? I know I could make a pillow or some kind of window treatment but I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

Today was another nice day, a little windy but that’s ok. It’s just so nice to be able to start saying goodbye to winter.

  1. What about putting them in an old neat frame, and hang them. If you didn't want to cut them, you could just fold them before you framed them. Hmmm....what else.

  2. Ok, a couple more ideas...Are they big enough to sew into a pocket (open at the bottom), and make a chair cover for a ladder back chair? (Did that make sense?) What about sewing them together for a table runner, or use them for placemats?

  3. Make pillows and mix them with burlap pillows to go on your futon on the porch..I think that would look neat....

  4. You could coffee stain them...and make them into pillows with a twist.Stuff them and make them with sawdust or wood shaveings and tie them off with jute so they look like actual pantry goods and use them in your kitchen or Pantry as decor. Bet they would look cool.

  6. Hi Mindy

What neat farm memorabilia and I have some similar that I used for my green and cream old chairs, I sewed the bags on to some thick calico as like yours they are not very wide, and put them into the base of my chairs. They look great and I fresh seeds and vegetables on my chairs... ( no one is allowed to sit on these. I love your pages and think your porch is awesome....cheers
