Didn’t have to work Thursday or today because of snow and temperatures so awhile back when I was shopping {back in the days before all this snow} I found this bin with a bunch of bed sheets on clearance. I found a couple of packages and I loved the color because it was prim looking so I bought them. I think it was like 2 sheets for a total of six bucks. I remember seeing this done on TV and other places where they said you could get more material for your money out of a sheet then if you bought material by the yard somewhere and then use it for curtains. So that was my intention when I purchased them. Today I finally opened the package and made a couple of coverings for 2 windows out of one twin size flat sheet. No sewing involved. I just doubled them over the rod and cut the width where I wanted it and tied them back with some jute. That is one of the reasons I love primitive decorating. You just use things you have and remember the word, “repurposing.” You can click on the pictures to make them larger.
Now I will give you a sneak peek of what I am working on next.
By working on, I don’t mean I am going to go eat this box of Raisin Bran! The box is empty and this is just the front of the box that I cut off. Hmmm……what will it be? I’ll let you know when I’m finished!
