Thrift store finds

Here is a plate I found at a thrift store. It was a dollar. I liked it because it looks like transferware. Transferware is a style of ceramics including pottery, dinnerware, and other delicate items. It uses transfer printing, a decorative technique.  I thought the brown was pretty and would look nice with Thanksgiving decor.

 

I also found this little white vase for 50 cents. I thought it was neat.

The little vase reminded me of this picture with the white ironstone dishes in this cupboard.

I also found these pewter like plates for a dollar.

They reminded me of this picture from here. Of course I like the ones in the bottom picture because they are more plain but I think I have achieved a similar look that is a lot less expensive.
